Labouré College has been selected as the best hybrid RN-BSN program in Massachusetts and one of the top programs in the country by RNtoBSN.org.
Labouré's program was recognized for "excellence in nursing education", its "flexibility" and "accommodating the needs of the working student".
"Our list is the most rigorous of its kind, based on data from a wide range of sources, including IPEDs, institution websites, and state nursing boards. Factors considered were accreditation, commitment to online education, academic and career counseling services, and academic quality. After reviewing the over 700 RN-BSN programs offered in the U.S., Labouré College's program demonstrated excellence in all areas." - RNtoBSN.org
Established in 1892, Labouré College's mission is to provide the opportunity for a diverse group of students to become nurses and healthcare professionals. The College's average student is 32-years-old, working, and raising a family. The RN-BSN program was designed specifically to accommodate the unique needs of the adult student.
Labouré's RN-BSN is delivered in a hybrid format meaning 80% of coursework and class meetings are done online. Since the program's launch in 2009, the College has attracted dedicated students who require the flexibility of online learning but enjoy the invaluable benefit of face-to-face interaction with their professors and fellow classmates.
Labouré looks forward to the continued growth of their baccalaureate-level programming, and helping more and more healthcare professionals get the education they need - without putting their career on hold.
"The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects astounding growth in the nursing profession over the next decade; the number of new jobs in the field is expected to nearly double by 2022. Governing bodies and regulatory agencies have made no secret of the fact that nurses who hold a bachelor's degree have far better career prospects." - RNtoBSN.org
