When bad things happen, often we are left wondering, “How we can help? How can one person make a difference?”

The answer is simple: get an education.

This year, we are bringing new programs to Labouré to educate more world-changers, life-savers, and do-gooders. These five unique certificate programs can be completed quickly so you can get to working changing lives.

Intraoperative Neuromonitoring

How do Intraoperative Neuromonitorists help?

Intraoperative Neuromonitorists are a patient’s guardian angel in the OR. When a patient is under anesthesia during a surgery or procedure, the neuromonitorist is constantly checking signals from a patient’s nervous system for signs of oxygen loss to the brain or stroke potential so that they can immediately alert the surgeon. In a situation where every second counts, the presence of a neuromonitorist during surgery has become invaluable and is increasing the demand for certified IONM professionals in the operating room.

Medical coders support healthcare facilities through the translation of medical reports into more efficient, user-friendly codes in order to facilitate the archiving and use of medical records and billing. Though medical coders do not work directly with patients, healthcare delivery would come to a standstill without their constant, diligent, and accurate work.
