There is a looming crisis in your neighborhood, and you have the power to help.
Many of Massachusetts’ cities and towns are currently in desperate need of blood donations. Donation centers regularly face shortages, with some only one trauma or emergency away from using up their entire supply.
Donating blood takes only one hour, but that time can have a truly astonishing impact on the lives of those in our community.
Did you know that…
Every donation save three lives?*
4.5 million American lives are saved every year from blood transfusions?*
Someone needs blood every three second?*
37 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, but less that 10 % actually do?*
Healthy adults that are at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds may donate blood every 56 days?*
Help out your family, friends, and neighbors by joining The Student Nurse Association at Laboure College. The SNA is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Monday, March 2, 2 - 7 p.m. in C112. Please consider giving blood yourself or if you have family members who would like to donate they are more than welcome.
