For 2020: Medical insurance is offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MA, HMO and PPO plan. The cost of premiums is shared by the employee and the College. Currently the College pays 80% of coverage.
As of July 1, 2021:
Medical insurance is offered through Aetna. The cost of premiums is shared by the employee and the college. Currently the college pays 80% of coverage.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MA. Currently the College pays 80% of individual coverage. The cost of premiums is shared by the employee and the College. Currently the College pays 80% of coverage.
National Vision Administrators (NVA) provides savings on eye care purchases and is available through several provider locations participating within the NVA network. Premiums are deducted after-tax.
Labouré College of Healthcare provides life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage to employees who work 20 or more hours per week and have completed 30 days of service with Mutual of Omaha. There is no cost to the employee. The basic life benefit is now 2x Annual Earnings to a maximum of $300,000.
Labouré College of Healthcare provides disability coverage to employees who work 30 or more hours per week and have completed one year of service. There is no cost to the employee. Income is 60% of the employee’s monthly base earnings to a maximum of $10,000 after a 90 day elimination period.
Labouré College of Healthcare provides disability coverage to employees who work 30 or more hours per week and have completed one year of service. There is no cost to the employee. Income is 60% to $2,000 per week with a 90 day elimination period.
All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible to enroll immediately in the Labouré College of Healthcare Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) Plan. Pre-tax deductions in an amount you choose will be automatically deducted from each paycheck. All regular full-time and part-time employees with at least 1,000 hours or 12 months of service are eligible for the College matching funds and can enroll in the Labouré College of Healthcare Direct Contribution (DC) Plan. The College will make additional contributions to your retirement savings, matching your contributions at 50% up to a maximum match equal to 3%, 4%, or 5% of your base income, depending on your age and years of service.
Medical Flex Spending: Administered by Pay Plans and Benefits, the 2021 FSA contribution level maximum will be $2,750. This account allows employees to deduct from their pay in pre-tax dollars into an account to use for out-of-pocket medical, dental, and vision expenses.
Dependent Care Flex Spending: This account allows employees to contribute up to $5,000 per plan year, deducted from their pay in pre-tax dollars into an account to use for dependent care expenses.
Tuition Remission is available to full-time employees (40 hours per week) who have completed the introductory period, and part-time employees with five years of current service at the time of application. The spouse and dependents of full-time employees are eligible for tuition remission after the employee has completed 6 months of service. The employee who receives tuition remission agrees as a condition of remission to remain in the employ of the College for a period of six months following completion of the courses for which remission was received.
Regular full-time employees who have been employed full time for at least one (1) year may apply for tuition reimbursement of up to $5,000 per fiscal year for up to three (3) consecutive fiscal years.
Employees must be enrolled in an accredited program that either offers growth in an area related to his or her current position or the objectives of the College. Contact Human Resources for the complete policy and application.
Mutual of Omaha offers 24/7 free private and confidential resources to employees and their immediate family members for evaluation, counseling, information and referrals to help solve work and personal issues. By law, all contacts with Mutual of Omaha are strictly confidential. These services are open to all concerns including social, family, psychological, alcohol, drug, job, health, legal, stress, parenting or financial issues. Licensed professionals will help evaluate and designate an appropriate course of action, and then provide assistance for resolution of the problem or concern.
